Who's behind BuildProven and why this newsletter exists.
I'm Brett Stark — an Aussie from near Adelaide, now based in Chicago. Director of Program Management with 25+ years leading large-scale technology programs in the automotive industry. Safety-critical systems, regulated processes, programs worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I'm not a developer. I never learned to code.
Over the past two years I've built a growing library of real systems — CLI tools, AI agents, quality gates, scoring engines — using Claude Code as my build engine and 25 years of operator judgment as the differentiator. BuildProven is the honest build log for that process.
